Adele 50 pound weight loss stuns Grammys: Vegetarian diet and workout tips

Singer Adele showcased her 50-pound weight loss at the 2016 Grammy Awards, where she performed her emotional ballad, "All I Ask." Adele looked glamorous on the red carpet in a black Givenchy dress that spotlighted her dramatic post-baby weight loss.

While Adele has not revealed how much she weighs or how many pounds she lost, she appears to have shed at least 50 pounds based on before and after photos. Adele's weight loss secrets were a vegetarian diet, weightlifting, and cardio exercise, Celebrity Health & Fitness reported.

Adele said her fiance, Simon Konecki, inspired her to go vegetarian after she gave birth to their son Angelo in 2012. Adele is no longer 100% vegetarian, but she eats a lot more vegetables than she used to.

Adele also quit smoking, cut back on sugar and alcohol intake, and began working out to get in shape for her upcoming world tour. The accompanying weight loss improved her health and helped her fit into off-the-rack clothing.

I was trying to get some stamina for my tour so I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes."

Adele said she has turned out numerous requests to pose nude. Interestingly, Adele said being plus size has probably helped her career, as Examiner previously reported. "Sometimes I'm curious to know if I would have been as successful if I wasn't plus size," she said. "It's relatable because I'm not perfect."
