Jennifer Aniston celebrated her 47th birthday Feb. 11 and looks as gorgeous as ever, thanks to diet and exercise. Aniston's anti-aging fitness, beauty and weight loss secrets are a low carb diet and yoga workouts, Celebrity Health & Fitness reported.
Jennifer, a longtime yoga fanatic, said people today are much more savvy about the age-defying power of a healthy diet and regular exercise. "Our generation knows what we should put in our bodies," said Aniston. "We know all the benefits of eating organic fruits and clean foods. We learned that smoking and sugar are the enemy."
Jennifer typically follows a low carb diet, although she often splurges on her favorite cuisine: Mexican food. She maintains her age-defying bikini body by working out almost every day.
Jennifer has been doing yoga for 20 years, saying the meditative practice tones her body and calms her mind, as Examiner previously reported. "If yoga didn't exist, I'd invent it," she said.
Aniston wears sunscreen every day, drinks lots of water, and relies on meditation, sleep and exercise as part of her anti-aging arsenal.
Exercise is absolutely important. I also firmly believe in the power of beauty sleep.
Jennifer isn't afraid of getting older, and said she wants to look good at every age. "We're going to feel good about ourselves if we see another woman who is 50 and rocking it," said Aniston. "If society is telling you to sit it out after 40, you diminish yourself. Believe what you feel."
